Model Picks Week 4 Results

I’m posting a little late this week. I like to think it’s because I was busy and not because we got absolutely gobsmacked. This was our first losing week this year, and it was a big one, setting us back quite a bit.

It was a choppy week in the NFL, with underdogs winning nearly half of the games.

Read on to see exactly how we did.

Thursday Night Game Week 4: Seattle at Arizona

Every Thursday we will post our analysis, The Model’s picks, and our bets (if any) on the Thursday night game. This is meant to be a little bit of a taste of our full analysis and picks for the week.

This week the Seattle Seahawks travel to Arizona to face off against the Cardinals.

The Cardinals have been plucky, but losing Conner and Zay Jones turns “balanced offense” into “Kyler and prayers.” Seattle just dropped 44 last week! If that rhythm continues, the Cards’ defense might need oxygen masks before halftime.

Thursday Night Game Week 3: Miami at Buffalo

This week the Miami Dolphins travel up to Buffalo to face off against the Bills. We have a powerful 2-0 Bills team that is looking as good as ever vs a Miami Dolphins team that might be relegated to the minor leagues at the end of the season.

Model Picks for Week 2

I generated the Model Picks yesterday. Now, after chatting with Jeremy this morning, I have everything I need to make some picks for Week 2.

I have a video recoding of the call with Jeremy. It’s over an hour long, with some technical difficulties up front. The video is not where I would like it in terms of setup, time, and quality. At the same time, the video does have Jeremy’s raw thoughts and includes a bit of commentary from me RE how The Model works. So if you’d like to see the video before Sunday, let me know in the comments, and I will edit it up and get it posted.

We broke even last week. I’m hoping we can score a good win this week.
