The Seahawks squeaked by, covering the spread Thursday, and netting us one unit for our bet. Read below for notes on how Jeremy and The Model are thinking about the games Sunday and Monday this week.

Thursday Night Game Week 4: Seattle at Arizona

Every Thursday we will post our analysis, The Model’s picks, and our bets (if any) on the Thursday night game. This is meant to be a little bit of a taste of our full analysis and picks for the week.

This week the Seattle Seahawks travel to Arizona to face off against the Cardinals.

The Cardinals have been plucky, but losing Conner and Zay Jones turns “balanced offense” into “Kyler and prayers.” Seattle just dropped 44 last week! If that rhythm continues, the Cards’ defense might need oxygen masks before halftime.

Thursday Night Game Week 3: Miami at Buffalo

This week the Miami Dolphins travel up to Buffalo to face off against the Bills. We have a powerful 2-0 Bills team that is looking as good as ever vs a Miami Dolphins team that might be relegated to the minor leagues at the end of the season.

Thursday Night Game Week 2: Washington vs Green Bay

This week the Washington Commanders travel to Green Bay to face off against the Packers. Both of these teams won last week. The Commanders are being given 3.5 points, but is that the right line for this matchup?

Model Picks for Week 2

I generated the Model Picks yesterday. Now, after chatting with Jeremy this morning, I have everything I need to make some picks for Week 2.

I have a video recoding of the call with Jeremy. It’s over an hour long, with some technical difficulties up front. The video is not where I would like it in terms of setup, time, and quality. At the same time, the video does have Jeremy’s raw thoughts and includes a bit of commentary from me RE how The Model works. So if you’d like to see the video before Sunday, let me know in the comments, and I will edit it up and get it posted.

We broke even last week. I’m hoping we can score a good win this week.

Model Picks Week 1 Results

This is a review of the picks and bets we made last week. Let’s see how we did Week 1.

I was kind of hoping we would hit it out of the park Week 1, everyone would see what geniuses we are, our picks would go viral, everyone would sign up, we’d quit our jobs to do this full time, and I’d lose 50 pounds.

Instead we got a pretty typical week where The Model had some good ideas and some bad ideas, the picks that overlapped with Jeremy did well, we made some goofy bets that cost us, and we ended up around even. Fun!

Model Picks For Week 1, 2025

I think the best way to experience these picks is the same way Jeremy and I do each week. We start with Jeremy’s analysis before he sees The Model results. Then I’ll show The Model results, compare them vs Jeremy’s notes and see where they overlap. We will lay off the games Jeremy and The Model disagree, bet on the game they agree on, and bet hard on the games they agree on with confidence.
