Thursday Night Game: Pittsburgh Steelers at the Cincinnati Bengals
Every Thursday we will post our analysis, The Model’s picks, and our bets (if any) on the Thursday night game. This is meant to be a little bit of a taste of our full analysis and picks for the week.
This week the Pittsburgh Steelers travel west to face the Cincinnati Bengals.
Let’s see what Jeremy and The Model have to say.
Editor’s Note: We have decided to make this Thursday picks public for everyone. Future picks will require a Free membership or Model Picks membership, which is just $5 for the entire season.
Analysis, Model, and Picks
Jeremy likes the Steelers to win and cover 5.5 point spread. The Bengals just aren’t very good this year. The Steelers are winning, but many games are close. Jeremy notes that Joe Flacco, while about 280 in dog years, has played vs the Steelers his whole career.
The Model has the Steelers winning as well, but only by 2 points. In fact, The Model doesn’t have the Steelers winning by more than 5 points in any of its 12 runs. For that reason, we’re not going to bet vs the spread here.
Jeremy likes the over, at 45.5. I ran The Model to get an over/under, and it’s predicting a 23-20 Steelers win, so we’re not going to be the over.
What can we do. A fun multi-game parlay is to bet all of the prime time games for the week. The NFL makes this tough, with multiple games on Monday night. Jeremy is wants to wait on the Lions Wide Receiver injury report before betting that game, but we can make some picks for tonights game, the Falcons/Niners game Sunday, and the Seahawks/Texans game Monday.
We’re going to bet $50 on the following 3 teams to win moneyline: Steelers, Falcons, Seahawks. That pays $234 on Draft Kings right now.
These are my personal bets and opinions, not betting advice. Wager at your own risk and within your means.
Good luck everyone!
