Week 8 Results
I had a fun weekend trip in Oklahoma City, which delayed my posting here and also kept me from placing bets. What’s with that, Oklahoma! I know we’re all addicted to sports betting, it’s incentivizing fraud at the highest levels, and is ruining our kids in many ways, including keeping them from having sex and lowering the birthrate. On the other hand, it’s a lot of fun.
So how did we do last week?
Here are the model results:
A decent week, with The Model winning 77% vs 85% for vegas odds. The Model beat the spread 62% of the time, which a nice return to form.
In the games where The Model and Jeremy differed, The Model took the upper hand this week:

I was excited after that first quarter in the Commanders game, but the Chiefs took clean control of that game quarters 2-4.
We didn’t make any bets this week. We kind of ghosted a few games based on what I thought I might have bet, but I didn’t even want to post those games since I was already influenced a bit by the early games Sunday by the time I got to posting.
